NativeTung Community Policies & Procedures

The NativeTung Community (NT Community) has been established by NativeTung, LLC, as a resource to share experiences, network, ask questions and assist one another in efforts towards globalization.

The primary focus of the NT Community is to provide resources to help improve the globalization and translation efforts of its membership; it is not, primarily, a place to find customers, but it is a place to explore ways to expand the reach and scope of members’ businesses.

Members are encouraged to utilize the community features to customize their personal profile page, start and participate in discussion groups and forums, initiate contact with other members using the various communication tools, and invite their colleagues and friends.

NT Community members are also encouraged to post descriptions of their business activities, along with links to their accompanying web pages on their NT Community pages. Business videos can also be uploaded, but this type of content is initially submitted into a moderation queue for review and approval before appearing (videos should include a tutorial or case study component, promotional videos will not be published); product images, catalog pages, "special offers," etc. can also be linked to in your profile page or comment wall. NativeTung, LLC, reserves the right to reject any content that they deem as inappropriate for the NT Community.

In addition, the following activities are not appropriate for the NT Community:

  • Any type of multi-level marketing and attempts to solicit NT Community members to participate in this type of marketing (e.g., "make thousands of dollars from home in just a few hours," "set up your own shopping mall and get paid by shopping and getting others to shop," etc.);
  • Selling classes, products, or other services to NT Community members;
  • Soliciting donations of any kind;
  • Spam postings of any kind.

Posting this type of content in the forum or on other NT Community members’ pages will result in the immediate termination of the posting member’s account without further notification, and that individual will be banned from rejoining the NT Community.

Member Profiles

Member profiles are the key component to making connections with other members in the NT Community, and the more details provided in a profile the more effective the opportunities can be for its members.

Here are a few suggestions to maximize your profile page’s effectiveness:

Do:
  • Complete the profile questions and tell the community about yourself and your business;
  • Add a photo or image to your profile to make it more personal;
  • Update your status to share what you are working on with your community;
  • Add links to your web page or catalog in your profile;
  • Join groups and participate in forums;
  • Invite your friends and submit friend requests to other NT Community members.

Don’t:
  • Use ALL CAPS, which translates as shouting at the community. (That goes for postings in the groups, forums, blog comments and other members’ pages too);
  • Use advertisements, item numbers, web addresses (URLs) or phone numbers as your member name or as the name of your profile page;
  • Include a "Buy Now," "Donate Now" or any other type of PayPal or similar e-commerce transaction component on your page; instead, provide a link to your website where members who choose to make a purchase or donation can do so outside the NT Community;
  • Doing any of these may result in the termination of your membership account.

Discussion Groups, Forums & Blog Participation

The NT Community discussion groups and forum are intended to provide NativeTung customers with the opportunity to exchange useful information with other NT Community members and NativeTung staff. Any member can start a group, but the group is submitted into a moderation queue for review and approval before appearing. Groups that remain inactive for more than 30 days will be removed without further notification.

NT Community members can also respond to blog entries, though comments will be moderated and monitored for appropriateness at the sole discretion of NativeTung. The following specifies the rules that will be used to manage the activities and content in the discussion groups, forum and blog:

  • The member community can include customers, partners, and NativeTung staff. As a result, some postings could include specific technical experience and insight, while others might be unintentionally inaccurate. Some questions and answers may be specific to certain functionality of the NativeTung product. NativeTung staff cannot guarantee the authenticity of this information provided by the community, and will encourage all technical support questions and answers be documented and managed in NativeTung Support, NativeTung’s Help Desk. You are responsible for using your own judgment in evaluating and acting on (or ignoring) the postings in the NT Community discussion groups and forums.
  • NT Community members may post hypertext links to content hosted and maintained by third parties. NativeTung does not control these linked sites, and is not responsible for them; accessing any of these linked sites is at your own risk.

By joining the NT Community, members agree not to post, upload or otherwise transmit any content that contains:

  • Profanity, disruptive, or hostile comments, interpersonal disputes, threats of violence, or hate speech;
  • Fraudulent, libelous, obscene, threatening, abusive, offensive, or otherwise objectionable material of any kind;
  • Violation of copyright or other intellectual property rights;
  • Chain letters, pyramid schemes or securities offerings;
  • Solicitations for donations of any kind;
  • Discussion of illegal activities or posting links to other websites that deal with such activities;
  • Viruses, Trojan horses, worms or other harmful or disruptive components;
  • Advertisement of any product or service that is deemed inappropriate as listed above;
  • Advertisements, item numbers or web addresses (URLs), in the title of a discussion group or forum posting;
  • Posts that compromises another member’s privacy, (containing personal or sensitive information such as name, address, phone or other identifying information);
  • Attempts to impersonate NativeTung staff or other NT Community members;
  • Posts unrelated to the discussion group or forum in which they are posted.

As stated above, discussion groups established for these types of activities, or forum posts and blog comments that include these activities will be removed immediately and the accounts of those members who post these types of materials will canceled without further notification. Those former members will also be banned permanently from rejoining the NT Community.
